Hawkins, Indiana. 1983. A little boy is missing. Help us find Will: is he in the forest? Hiding in his secret cabin? Is that him calling? What is making those lights blink?

We’re transforming a two-floor 10,000sq ft warehouse into an immersive environment directly inspired by Netflix’ horror hit “Stranger Things.” Enter the upside down… if you dare. Get lost in the forest. Face off with a mind reader. Jump into an epic Dungeons & Dragons game. Chill in the blanket fort. Eat all the Eggos. Join a seance to find the missing kids. Plus all the 1980s music you can handle, and so much more!

Our favorite DJs will be putting a spin on ’80s classics and the Stranger Things soundtrack, mixed with our usual eclectic and irresistible dance music. With DJs: Reaganomics, Joro Boro, and DJ Ceremony!

Costumes required for entry:
This is our annual love letter to all things dark and grotesque. Usual Masquerade Macabre style welcome: dark carnival, aberrations of nature, cabinet of curiosities, dark Victoriana, evil funhouse, steampunk, Jan Svankmaier & Brothers Quay films, Freaks, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. For “Stranger Things,” think horror + 1980s…think creepy forest creatures, aliens, Jason, ET. But please remember: if we have to ask, it’s not a costume (meaning: 1980s casual won’t cut it).

Photo policy:
These events offer an amazing opportunity for capturing some of the most creative, colorful party goers in NYC. We allow cameras at nearly all events, but please ask if you want someone’s portrait. If you’re a professional photographer, get in touch — we always offer free entry to photo & video professionals who send us their work after.

Press:
“Live music, dancing, absinthe and the dark arts” -The New York Times

“Absinthe-fueled debauchery” -Paper

“Collection of artists who revel in all things exotic, sensual and creative” —Examiner

Admission
$20 Tier 1* / $25 Tier 2* / $30 Tier 3* & door / $15 after 1am

Buy tickets here.

*All ticket tiers offer the same access to the event. An additional $25 gets you a commemorative Masquerade Macabre hip flask engraved with the monster hybrid Victorian couple from our usual event flyer. The engraving is vintage-style blind etching, not the modern black laser. We like it classy. See picture of flask here.
